MyPocketPal

MyPocketPal collects only the information you choose to provide in order to deliver the app's features:

• Account information — email address and password (used only for authentication via Supabase)
• Journal entries — text you write in the journal feature
• Gratitude entries — text you write in the gratitude feature
• Reminders — reminder text and scheduled times you create
• Contacts — names and contact details you add manually
• Chat messages — messages you send to Patch (the AI companion)
• Usage data — daily AI message count and trial status, to manage your subscription
• Voice recordings — audio recorded for voice entry (stored locally on your device only)

We do not collect location data, financial information, or any data from your contacts list without your explicit manual input.

• To provide and operate the app's features (journal, reminders, chat, wellness tools)
• To sync your data across devices and reinstalls via your account
• To enforce the daily AI message limit and manage trial/subscription status
• To respond to your messages with AI-generated replies via the Patch companion

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

Your data is shared only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the app:

• Supabase — cloud database and authentication. Data is stored on Supabase servers in accordance with their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy
• Groq / Llama AI — processes chat messages you send to Patch in order to generate responses. Groq may retain conversation data per their own terms at groq.com/privacy-policy

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers.

The Patch companion is powered by a third-party AI (Groq/Llama). When you send a message in chat, that message is transmitted to Groq's servers to generate a response.

MyPocketPal is a personal companion app for support and organization. It is not a medical device, mental health service, or licensed therapy tool.

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the service.

You can permanently erase all your data at any time using the "Erase all data" option in Settings. This deletes your data from both your device and our cloud servers (Supabase), including journal entries, gratitude entries, reminders, contacts, and your account profile.

To request manual deletion, contact us at the address below.

Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored using Supabase's secure cloud infrastructure. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your data, no system is completely secure. We encourage you not to store highly sensitive information within the app.

MyPocketPal is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Use at your own risk. MyPocketPal is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. It is not a medical device, mental health service, or emergency system. The developers of MyPocketPal accept no liability for any harm, loss, or consequence arising from use of this app, whether it functions correctly or not.

Subscription. MyPocketPal offers a 14-day free trial followed by a paid subscription of $4.99/month. Trial users may send up to 15 AI messages per day. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through Google Play.

Acceptable use. You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or use it in any way that violates applicable laws.

Changes. We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

By using MyPocketPal you acknowledge and accept these terms.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
